Moco Contemporary artists impact our surroundings, from politics and the environment to society and pop culture - they’re not just joining the game, they’re changing it.

Moco Museum spotlights artists who take  their artistic vision to new horizons. Inspired by popular culture and a nostalgic desire to play, artists like Takashi Murakami and KAWS create art to reconnect with their childhood hearts while also commentating on society’s current relationship with consumerism and media. Through toys, fashion, and collectible items, these artists create art that is both accessible and engaging to broad audiences, transmitting a sincere message felt across the globe and across generations.

While some artists communicate through paint brushes, artists like Chris Levine, JR, and Tracey Emin look towards the light. From holograms to camera lenses to neon tubes, each artist illuminates the world with profound messages that highlight personal stories, inspire connection, and encourage us all to find an inner-peace.
