Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh was a multidisciplinary artist that reshaped the world of fashion, art, music, and music. In a span of two decades, Abloh collaborated with the most influential contemporary artists such as Takashi Murakami while working as Louis Vuitton's menswear art director, making him the first black person appointed to the role.

Abloh's pioneering designs explored the use of language and the use of quotation marks as a way to engage with people through literal figures of speech.

Virgil Abloh passed on November 28, 2021, at age 41, after privately battling with cancer, leaving the art and fashion world mourning one of the most influential artists of this generation.
