Another influential artist of the past was Andy Warhol. He had cemented his place in the art community and had a big international audience. Warhol became an illustrator for Glamour magazine which placed him as a leading figure in the Pop Art movement. He gathered international attention for his unique art.

Yayoi Kusama is one of the most influential artists working today. The famous ‘Infinity Rooms‘ caused big popularity. The career of Kusama began with hallucinations when she was young. The experiences of fields of dots and flashes of light provided her inspiration for her work. She is an inspiration for many.
Banksy is an influential artist from this time we all know. In October 2018 was ‘Balloon girl’ sold in an auction in London. Short after the work was sold the picture was shredded within the frame. After this happened Sotheby released the statement “Banksy didn’t destroy an artwork in de auction, he created one”. With art like ‘Kissing Coppers’ and the shredded ‘Balloon girl’ Banksy has been an influence for many artists.
