Connecting Time

During the exhibition ‘Connecting Time’ you walk through eleven transformed rooms that take you through the past, present and future. This creates an absurdist but beautiful experience. Amethyst Ball Cavern is one of these beautiful rooms. You will see various disciplines that have to do with the subject time during the whole exhibition. The subjects you will see include architecture, design, fashion, sculpture, film and fine art. Daniel Arsham is one of the most influential installation artists.

Amethyst Ball Cavern

One of the most beautiful parts of the exhibition is the Amethyst Ball Cavern. This is a room whose walls and ceiling are covered with hundreds of tennis and volleyballs. The balls are covered with amethyst colored fabric what makes it a big purple-colored cave. This purple room has three big luminous basketballs. In the big mirror you can take a photo of yourself in the purple ‘cave’. It’s a lovely experience to see yourself in the artwork. Daniel Arsham symbolizes the passing of time with the Amethyst Ball Cavern. It challenges us to reflect on life in the present.

When you walk through the popular installation rooms you will get the feeling that you enter an alternative reality. You can take the most beautiful selfies while you walk through the Amethyst Ball Cavern. Do you want to walk through another reality? Come and visit the Moco Museum. Buy your ticket here.
