Descripción del trabajo

The Duty Manager is responsible for supervising all floor activity including assisting visitors,
monitoring floor crew and managing inventory. The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring
that all floor requirements are met. To be successful as a Duty Manager you should have
excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills and be highly organized,
paying attention to detail. You must be able to delegate duties to the crew members while
making sure that the staff is trained for their assigned roles.

Responsabilidades

  • Supervise floor crew and ensure clear communication
  • Train floor crew members
  • Act as first point of contact for all museum crew and other departments for day-to-day issues
  • Monitor museum areas to provide security of the exhibition artworks (ensure visitors do not touch or endanger works of art)
  • Monitor the cleanliness and overall tidiness of the museum
  • Provide excellent customer experience by interacting with museum visitors and offer a welcoming and friendly environment
  • Resolve issues of visitors to their overall satisfaction
  • Responsible for the routine opening-up and closing of museum
  • Supervise and assist in special functions, events and visits
  • Coordinate with Marketing Department to always ensure that all parties involved are up to date with all promotions and campaigns
  • Perform ad-hoc duties and tasks as requested by Management
  • Setting operational standards and ensuring they are met
  • Perform quality checks, focused on visitor experience and cleanliness
  • Order supplies for the daily museum operation and keep the day-to-day administration tidy and up-to-date
  • Encourage and develop the museum floor crew, including performance appraisals, training, leading regular meetings and scheduling.
  • Be flexible and available to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
