Job description
A Monday like this excites you:
You kickstart the day by having a weekly stand-up meeting with the Marketing Team to check-in and discuss where we stand with the marketing and brand strategy. Next, you check your incoming emails and plan a meeting with the Head of Online Marketing, Thijs to review new creative assets from freelance photographers and videographers and brainstorm a plan for Q2. Now, time for lunch! With approximately 20 colleagues, we lunch in our gorgeous meeting room surrounded by art. After lunch, you have a meeting with our social media and content manager Brian to concept and design a new social media campaign. You grab another coffee and begin to concept your first design draft to share with Brian. Then, you go back to your desk to further work on enhancing photographs for print usage, always keeping in mind our brand values and safeguarding them. Is it 6pm already? Time to go home!
Responsibilities
- Safeguard the brand by maintaining consistency in style and communicating key messaging and the brand identity
- Design and concept for digital mediums including banner ads, landing pages, website features, social media, YouTube, and more
- Design and concept for printing mediums inside the museum, art cards, wall texts, brochures, banners, window stickers etc.
- Implementing key design knowledge for a cohesive and strong brand identity across social advertising including Google Display ads, Facebook, Instagram, printed media, brochures and more
- Coordinate and maintain creative assets from freelance photographers, videographers, and studios
- Enhance or manipulate photographs and videos using various techniques as required
- Assist in preparing print mediums including catalogue layouts and print ads
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in graphic design/art, graphic communications, or a related field with 3+ years of professional work experience
- Strong knowledge of design theory, color theory, and typography
- Proficient in Adobe CC, HTML5, HTML, CSS, and mobile design
- Experience in Adobe After Effects or another video editing software is an asset
- Flexibility and innate understanding to prioritize diverse tasks
- Highly organized with the ability to work within a dynamic atmosphere
- Keen eye for detail, artistic flair, and a wealth of creativity
